Protein Cookies

I am GUILTY for spending too much on protein bars and snacks. So it’s time to start  finding healthier, refined sugar free & cheaper alternatives. When you add up the daily Protein Bars we buy from supermarkets & healthstores it’s easy for it to end up costing you £50 + a month which is equivalent to a £600+ a year!

I’ve cut down on refined sugars so I also find it extremely hard to find protein bars that are not full of artificial sweeteners and processed sugars. Below is one recipe I’ve created & mastered: homemade protein cookies that contain no artificial sweeteners and the recipe can definitely be changed to your individual taste.


A perfect raw & natural pre workout snack that is so simple to make.



I’ve started having one of these first thing in the morning to get my metabolism fired up with a liter of water before I head to the gym.


  • 2 Scoops Chocolate Protein Powder

  • 300g Oats

  • 100ml Almond Milk

  • 3 tbsp Cacao Powder

  • 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds

  • 1tbsp Total Sweet

Mix well and place on foil to refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.

Enjoy x

  1. Sarah-These protein snacks look good. I’m just started adding protein powder to drinks and snacks but how can I be sure I am buying the right protein powder-not sure which is the healthiest brand-perhaps you could expand on what nutrients a protein powder contains with links to a good brand.

    1. That’s a very good question! There are so many out there. I’ve tried various but have found Forever Lite to be the best. As it has a low amount of sugar, high protein, tastes great and is easy to add into baking as well as to have on its own. There is a link on the recipes to an online shop.
