After battling with M.E last year I signed up to run the 10KM Jurassic Coast Run. I was told I couldn’t run cross country as a child and was only built for sprint distances. So I wasn’t expecting to succeed the run on such hilly terrain in 1 hour 11 minutes. It was an amazing experience and I will certainly be signing up to beat my time next year.  This was my second running event and I’ve discovered each time I do one my love for running just grows.

I managed to raise over £175 for the Charity Invest In M.E. Research. I cannot thank everyone who donated and sent me kind messages over the past few months. It’s been so worth doing! ❤

A BIG THANK YOU to Clare, Jade & Paul for running with me, it meant so much you guys were so supportive. Here are a few photos from our day and reasons why I loved this event so much:

The race started at The Old Salt House. The course was tough, but we were rewarded with spectacular views.

The most beautiful run I have ever been on!

This was the fifth year they have done the Bridport Jurassic Coast Run and I  am not surprised that they sold out. It was an a great experience. It made me realize how blessed I am to live in such a gorgeous part of the world. Runners came from all over the Southwest to take part in this event. If you’d like to join in next year the Bridport Jurassic Coast Run, is organised by local community groups Bridport Runners and Brit Valley Rotary Club.

I was so impressed by the incredible scenery, friendly marshals and great organization of the event. The race started with the famous ‘Broadchurch’ cliff at West Bay in the background, taking us to the second highest hill on the South Coast of England, Thorncombe Beacon, and back through Downhouse Farm, Eype to West Bay. It was SPECTACULAR, here is one of my snaps from the run:
