An Interview with Personal Trainer & Founder of Nutri Pink

Hannah Atkinson has been a great inspiration over the past few months to me and many others with her motivational instagram posts and love for sharing knowledge on Nutrition & Fitness.

Anyone who follows Hannah aka Nutri Pink will know this girl is on FIRE with passion and knowledge!

Tell me a bit about yourself:

My name is Hannah Atkinson, I am 24 years old and I am a Level 3 Qualified Personal Trainer. I started to develop my awareness of diet and nutrition 8 years ago, which has now grown into a real passion of mine, along with keeping fit and healthy.
I have a 2:1 degree in Sociology & Psychology.
I also love travelling and seeing new places. I believe life is about getting as much experience as possible.

 

What inspired you to become a Personal Trainer?

I have been interested in nutrition and health for a long time and I got into fitness towards the end of my university years as I became very focused on nutrition. I then set up my Blog & Instagram page NutriPink to share my passion of fitness and nutrition as well as to inspire others. I soon got to know other bloggers and fitness inspirations on Instagram and it was Ashy Bines in particular who made me realise what career path I needed to go down.

 

Do you have a fitness philosophy?

Motivation is key to success but discipline is what will get you to your goals.

Why do you think movement and good nutrition is so important?

I believe everybody deserves to see the best version of themselves and their best body. We are at our best when we are in good health both physically and mentally. Having movement in our lives keeps our minds flowing and giving our bodies good nutrition is only going to make us stronger and feel good.

 

How do you keep clients inspired to keep moving?

I remind them of why they started and set them manageable goals as steps along the way. I also share my fitness and body struggles and how I’ve overcome them.

What are your 3 top tips to succeeding?

 – Use your time wisely

 – Believe in yourself

 – Visualise the life you want and create it

 

 

If you could go back and give yourself one piece of training/fitness advice what would it be?

Have confidence in yourself; mind over matter.

How would you inspire somebody to start a fitness program?

I would emphasise that it’s not just about changing your body physically. Fitness improves so many areas of your life; confidence, relationships and mindset.
